O’Regan’s Legacy with Bowie

O’Regan has dedicated decades to capturing legendary musical icons and served as the official photographer for major tours featuring artists like the Rolling Stones, Queen, and Pink Floyd. He also shared a long-standing partnership with Bowie and was one of the photographers at Live Aid in 1985.

He accompanied Bowie on several tours and produced the box set “Ricochet: David Bowie 1983,” documenting the extensive tour following the release of Bowie’s 1983 album “Let’s Dance.”

“Throughout my career, I’ve heard fans and collectors describe one of my images as ‘Bowie’s favorite picture,’” O’Regan commented on this new release. “Five years after capturing this image at Newcastle City Hall, I joined Bowie on one of his global tours as his chosen photographer. This beloved image became my selection for the cover of the B&O9 speaker.”
