Details of the Anniversary Edition
The expanded 10th anniversary edition of Get To Heaven will be released on July 4, featuring a yellow/orange double vinyl package as well as a CD. The pink/purple double vinyl format sold out instantly. This edition includes bonus tracks, b-sides, and demos, and you can find the remaining versions here.
Speaking about the reprint, the group stated: “For ten years since Get to Heaven was released, it feels more relevant than ever, as we see megalomaniacs, zealots, and fanatics expanding their power and influence on the world stage. It was a challenging record to make at that time, and we have felt a deep connection to it ever since. And yet the muddy waters of ‘Get to Heaven’ have returned.”

Last month, the group announced a UK and Ireland tour to celebrate the anniversary. The tour kicks off at the legendary Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on November 27 and includes stops in Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Bristol, Birmingham, and Dublin.
They will perform Get to Heaven in full for the first time during these shows. The band also hinted at some “additions” for their fans. You can see the full list of dates and purchase tickets here.
In an interview with NME regarding Get to Heaven, frontman Jonathan Higgs explained that the album was born from a tumultuous time in 2014, which he described as “the most intense year of our lives.”
“Don’t push me to take a stance on Syria or Ukraine,” Higgs remarked. “I don’t know the answers, but I do know it makes me feel unhappy, confused, and anxious, not knowing who is right and who is wrong.
“Instead, it revolves around the lives of those who are affected—like how I would feel if I were a Muslim, or how it feels to be a rejected teenager like that Rodger kid. He created a video about his struggles, and you could see the despair in his eyes. I represented that final outcome in some way.”
