Everyone Says Hello Releases New Video for “I Would Like to Be in New York”

New Video Release

Everyone is excited to announce that Greetings has shared a new video for their track “I Would Like to Be in New York,” taken from their debut album of the same name, released by Chrysalis Records.

Meet the Band

This group features the former songwriter and drummer of Kaiser Chiefs, known as Khojson. The lineup includes Pete Denton on bass, Glenn Mule on drums, Ben Gordon on keyboards, and Tom Dawson on guitar. Collectively, the members have roots in bands like The Kooks, Wowling Bells, and Dead 60s.

In collaboration with Joe Rans and Arthur Levin, the video draws on Hodgson’s memories of his time in New York as a songwriter and producer during his heyday with Kaiser Chiefs, including his work alongside Mark Ronson.

“Even during my days with Kaiser Chiefs in 2009, Mark Ronson invited me to New York to help him write with the band for a few days. That was a remarkable experience. However, my life has become much more settled in recent years; all travel to New York is now a thing of the past. You have to write about what you feel, and on that particular day, I felt a sense of longing. My mother heard me discussing this on TikTok and was saddened, but this is not a sad song—it’s filled with positivity and hope,” shares Hodgson.

Debut Album Details

The group’s debut album, produced by Hodgson at London Snap Studios and his home studio, consists of ten tracks, including the previously released hits “Brain Freeze,” “Somewhere Whore,” “Only One,” and “Lucky Stars.”
