Ethel Kane explores new sounds
Ethel Kane released her new project “Perverts” exploring dark ambient sounds and experimental production methods.
A deep dive into sound design
The 90-minute collection focuses on sound design and atmosphere and features some of Kane’s most experimental work to date, such as “Houseofpsychoticwomn”, as well as melodic tracks such as “Amber Waves” and “Punish”.
“Blow a hole in yourself and see what happens. Don’t tell anyone what it is, but keep some in a tiny glass jar under your bed, says Cain. “Cover all the windows and walls with a dark cloth and cut yourself into a circle, several circles in the center of the room. Make it hot and suffocate. Go into the forest and see how many lines there are. The whole world consists of lines and their intersections. There is still time to go into a room where there is nothing and stay there forever, but know that as long as you maintain freedom of action, the world maintains freedom of retribution. You are not immune from the consequences. You can do whatever you want as long as you can handle the returns. And if you can’t, then you should hide so that no one can see how much you cry if you can’t. It’s okay to be weak. You were born this way for a reason.”
Exciting vinyl release announcement
Cain also recently announced that her 2022 debut album, Preacher’s Daughter, will be released on vinyl for the first time worldwide via Daughters of Cain. The album features her breakthrough track “American Teenager”.
