Upcoming Announcement Teased
A new sign for the group has appeared on Sunset Boulevard at night, intriguing fans with an impending announcement that is on the horizon.
The message on the advertising displays reads: “Never sufficient horizontal bar,” accompanied by the date June 6. It remains unclear what the announcement is intended for, and whether June marks the day more information will be shared or when the mysterious release will be available.
Additional information was conveyed through the advertising displays, featuring a new photo of the band that indicates they have returned to a five-member lineup. This comes after guitarist Brady Ebert left the group in 2022, and the new photograph suggests that guitarist Meg Migs has now joined the band as a full-time member.

As of now, the specifics surrounding the group’s preparations are unclear. However, based on the advertising shields, it seems they may be hinting at a new album, a long-awaited follow-up to 2021’s Glow ON.
If that’s the case, June 6 could potentially be the official release date, with fans anticipating more details about the album and possibly a new single.
Following their last LP, Turnstile collaborated with Badbadnotgood in 2023 for a joint EP titled “New Heart Design.” They also debuted a new song called “Listening” as part of the third season of I Think You Should Leave earlier this year.
While details about their future plans remain sparse, the band has a busy touring schedule, including two major live performances in the UK. In November of last year, it was announced that they would play an exclusive show at the London edition of the Lido London Festival, sharing the stage with artists like Alex G, Danny Brown, and more.
In late June, they are also set to perform at Glastonbury 2025, joining headliners like Nila Yang, The 1975, and Olivia Rodrigo, alongside other notable acts including Biffy Clyro, Father John Misty, Wolf Alice, and many others.
International performances during the festival circuit include a spot at France’s Hellfest 2025, alongside Linkin Park, Korn, and Muse, among others, as well as Primavera Sound Porto, which will also feature acts like Charli XCX and Deftones. Visit here for tickets.
The band shared their thoughts on festival participation with NME following their performance in Glastonbury in 2022, where frontman Brendan Yates stated: “I think that maybe there is a subconscious image to just adapt wherever you are, be it a room with 50 people or a large festival: you are always going to do exactly what you are doing.”
“I’m not sure if this is something special we do, but perhaps it’s more of a subconscious endeavor to find ways to connect more deeply with our audience.”
He added: “The ability to connect with those who seek out our music and to see how this journey evolves is always amazing. Since we started performing live again, we’ve been blessed with the opportunity to reach so many new audiences.”
“Performing music is always an exciting opportunity, one that constantly evolves, not necessarily in crowd size but through new challenges, placing ourselves in different scenarios and utilizing our abilities to grow.”
