Emo Nite Comes to London
Emo Nite has announced its British edition in London, featuring performances by Wargasm.

Event Details
A popular club night will take over the Steel Yard in London on April 11. The metal duo, Milka Way and Sam Matlock, will perform at the 800-capacity venue during the usual emo night, which will run from 9 PM to 3 AM.

About Emo Nite
In 2022, Emo Nite co-founders TJ Petracca and Morgan Freed discussed with NME the revival of the genre and its recent commercial success. They shared that Emo Nite started in a “little dive bar in Echo Park, Los Angeles.”
“We just wanted to choose music, and Morgan knew the bartender,” Petracca explained. “He said, ‘You could choose music on Tuesday night. No one will come on this rainy Tuesday.’”
“I connected my iPad and began playing songs from Spotify,” he added. “Then we set up the event on Facebook. The bar’s capacity was probably 100, and 200 people showed up. The next month, we did it again, and even more people came.”
That same year, Emo Nite was invited to perform at Coachella. Speaking to NME about the honor of playing one of the largest festivals in the U.S., Freed stated: “It’s such a huge acknowledgment of the genre to have been invited this year and at this point in time. It’s a great honor for us.”
In other news, Wargasm will also perform at this year’s Slam Dunk festival alongside acts like A Day to Remember, Neck Deep, Alkaline Trio, Electric Callboy, Delilah Bon, Graphic Nature, State of Dreaming, and many more.
