Ella Air has unveiled her latest single, “High on the Internet,” featuring rapper, songwriter, and producer Jay Prince, distributed by Sam.
The Essence of Digital Detoxification
This track represents Air’s fourth release as an independent artist, delving into the theme of digital detoxification and the quest for authentic communication. Regarding her new single, Air shares: “High on the Internet is the anthem of digital detoxification, something I didn’t realize I needed until I penned it. It emphasizes the importance of being present in the physical world and establishing true boundaries with the online realm while satisfying a profound yearning for genuine relationships in this hyper-connected world. It’s a spiritual and healthy reminder that the most valuable experiences cannot be quantified or fully appreciated through a screen.”
Collaboration and Previous Releases
The collaboration features London-based Jay Prince, a close friend of Air, who has previously worked with notable artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Paul Appson, Mr. Hadson, Mura Masa, and Jay Electronica. This single follows her earlier releases, including “Domino SZN,” “Head in the Ground,” and “Don’t Love This Blind,” the latter of which she performed at the BAFTA TV Awards.
