The charity event was first announced earlier this month and is scheduled for January 30 at the city's Intuit Dome and KIA Forum. Live Nation, AEG, and veteran music executive Irving Azoff have collaborated to produce the concerts.

This week, the first wave of performers was confirmed for the show, which includes Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Rod Stewart, Katy Perry, Joni Mitchell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sting, Stevie Nicks, Gracie Abrams, and Green Day. Among the notable names added to the lineup is the reuniting group No Doubt, who will perform together for the first time since their well-received Coachella 2025 reunion shows, marking their first concerts since 2015.

Impact of the Fires

Now the Eagles, who originated in Los Angeles in 1971, have shown their support for FireAid with a generous donation of $2.5 million to the cause. This significant contribution matches the amount donated by Beyoncé's foundation for fire relief and is complemented by $500,000 from fellow Los Angeles music icon Metallica. Additionally, The Weeknd has contributed $1 million.

Devastating fires that began on January 7 are still raging in the city. So far, 27 lives have been lost, 200,000 individuals have been displaced, and over 12,000 structures have suffered damage.

Members of the Los Angeles music community shared with NME that multiple venues, studios, and artists sustained significant damage from the fires.

Legendary director David Lynch passed away Thursday (January 16) after it was reported that his health had declined after being “forced to move from his home” on Sunset Boulevard due to the fires.

Jamie Lee Curtis has donated $1 million to relief efforts following discussions with California Governor Gavin Newsom, while Charli XCX has urged brands sending her clothes to redirect that support to those affected by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

Earlier this week, Guitar Center also launched a new initiative to assist musicians affected by the fires in replacing their damaged equipment. This one-time grant will be available until Feb. 28, allowing musicians and music programs to replace destroyed instruments or gear.
