Dua Lipa’s Surprise Collaboration
Dua Lipa surprised her fans by bringing out Troy Sivan for an unexpected performance of “Rush” during her show at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
Special Covers for a Local Touch
This memorable performance occurred during Lipa’s fourth show, part of a series that spanned five days, featuring covers of various Australian artists in her setlist. Prior to singing “Rush,” Lipa addressed the audience about her selection, stating: “So this next song on the set every night is different,” emphasizing her intent to showcase songs from local talents.
“And therefore tonight I thought it would be a big mistake if I had not played any of my beloved, my favorite artists who are also my friend,” she added. “This is the song that I listened to for a very long time – I mean, 2023 still – but this is a banger on Saturday, so I think it will be fun.”
The event was part of her Linden tour, promoting her album “Radical Optimism.” During her Melbourne residency, she covered hits like “I Can’t Get You Out of My Head” by Kylie Minogue, “Torn” by Natalie Imbruglia, and “Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be” by AC/DC.
