The Canadian rapper “Bling Hot Line” recently appeared on the Internet with Adin Ross in Kick, where they discussed various topics. During the stream, Drake took a moment to express his gratitude to his fans, casually dropping the news.

“Thanks to everyone who broadcast the album. Every time, every journey. Working on a new album, this is a slap in the face,” he stated. When Adin Ross inquired if it would be a solo album, Drake simply replied “yes.”

Upcoming Collaborations and Performances

While little was revealed about the new album, including the release date, it will mark Drake’s first solo project since 2023’s “For All the Dogs,” released in October 2023. On Valentine’s Day this year, he also released a collaborative album titled ‘$ OME $ Exy $ ONGS 4 U’ with PartynextDoor.

Between the releases of “For All the Dogs” and “$ OME $ Exy $ ONGS 4 U,” Drake spent a significant portion of 2024 collaborating with Kendrick Lamar. During their feud, Drake released four tracks aimed at Kendrick Lamar.

At the end of February, Drake postponed several tour dates in Australia and New Zealand due to a “schedule conflict,” but he was later spotted in the front row at WWE’s Elimination Chamber in Toronto after the tour was canceled.

In March, he began teasing his “next chapter,” suggesting that it might leave fans feeling “awkward.”

In a two-star review of “For All the Dogs,” Luke Morgan Britton wrote for NME, “On 23 tracks and almost 85 minutes total, ‘For All the Dogs’ often feels like a difficult listen, a sentiment exacerbated by an artist seemingly compelled to fill albums with multiple intros, unnecessary interludes, and random show elements… Let’s hope he returns re-energized, as ‘For All the Dogs’ feels more like a return to form for him than a groundbreaking project.”

In other news, Drake was recently announced as a headliner for this year’s Wireless Festival, where he will perform each night across three days in London. The festival will take place at Finsbury Park from July 11 to 13, making Drake the first artist to headline three consecutive nights with three different sets.

The shows will be his first UK performances in six years, joined by artists like Burna Boy, PartynextDoor, Summer Walker, and Vybz Kartel. Tickets for the event are available here.
