Drake’s Generosity During Tour
Drake gave fans $20,000 after he won them in Rock-Paper-Scissors during a recent show in Australia.
The hitmaker of “Bling Hot Line” is currently in the middle of his first tour in Australia and New Zealand in eight years, a 14-day journey that will conclude on March 16 in Auckland.
So far, the tour has made headlines as fans have been asking the rapper for money, especially after he handed a significant amount to a fan who held a sign stating she was 20 weeks pregnant during the show at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
The video clip captured the moment he said “security” to “pull her out of there”, upgrade her to VIP, and give her “like $30,000”.
Since then, fans have brought signs requesting money from Drake, leading to a viral photograph depicting the rapper standing in front of a sea of cash requests.
However, this did not deter him from opening his pockets for fans. During another performance in Sydney on Wednesday night (February 19), he noticed a fan holding a sign that read: “Rock-Paper-Scissors to buy my dad a birthday gift.”
“I like this sign right here,” Drake remarked. “Are you ready?… This is my game, boy.” After defeating the fan in the first round, he gave him another chance, saying: “I will give you one more. Think about it. 1, 2, 3.”

Drake’s Continued Acts of Kindness
After winning in a couple of rounds, Drake triumphed again in the fourth round, eliciting laughter from the crowd. Fortunately for the fan, Drake still gave him some money. “I’m still going to give you $20,000 so you can buy your dad a car,” he declared, before adding: “Never mess with me on Rock-Paper-Scissors. I will win.”
It’s not uncommon for the rapper to share money with happy fans at his concerts. Last March, Drake gifted a pregnant woman at his concert $25,000 after she asked him to become her “rich baby daddy.”
In 2023, during his tour, he occasionally gave $50,000 to two fans: one was a person who spent all their “furniture money” on tickets to his Las Vegas shows, and the other was someone who had just lost their job.
In other news, Drake was recently announced as a headliner for this year’s Wireless Festival, where he will perform each night over the three-day event in London.
The festival is set to return to Finsbury Park from July 11 to 13, and to celebrate, Drake will be the first artist to headline the festival for three consecutive nights with three different sets.
This also marks his first British performances in six years, and he will be joined on the weekends by artists such as Burna Boy, PartynextDoor, Summer Walker, and Vybz Kartel. Tickets for the event are available here.
Additionally, Drake recently released his joint album ‘$ Omy $ Exy $ Ongs 4 U’ with PartynextDoor on Valentine’s Day (February 14). This collection features sultry R&B tracks that address his tension with artists like Kendrick Lamar and Future.
This marks Drake’s first record since his 2023 album “For All Dogs,” which received a three-star review from NME. Just before the album’s release, Drake announced a break from music to focus on his health, raising hopes that he might return rejuvenated, as “For All Dogs” seemed not only tiring but also sonically fatigued.
In related news, Kendrick Lamar recently made headlines on February 10 during the Super Bowl break, where he directed jabs at Drake, even mocking him for suing Universal Music Group for promoting “Not Like Us.” “I want to play their favorite song, but you know how they like to sue,” he quipped, before briefly playing the track later in his set.
Dennis Graham, Drake’s father, also commented that he believes Kendrick will win a Grammy in 2025 for “Not Like Us.” “I don’t have much to say about this,” he stated, “It has nothing to do with me. All the best for him. I don’t engage in that nonsense.
