The British producer took to his official YouTube channel to unveil an 18-minute film titled ‘2024’, showcasing highlights, memorable moments, and behind-the-scenes footage from his year.

Highlights from the Year

Opening with Fred Again… – real name Frederick Gibson – playing the keys at the dinner table, the film captures moments like Lil Yachty listening to a beat played for him by a producer, various sound checks at different shows, harp practice, collaborating with The Japan House for a performance at the Rising Sun pub in Somerset, and a poignant moment when he and Romy performed a cover of Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”

Alongside his year-end video, Fred Again… also shared two new videos from his first stadium performance at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The producer highlighted his live rendition of “Adore U” with Obongjayar, where they performed the track from the venue’s seating area.

Discussions also arose about his performance of the song “Strong” with Romy during this show. “One of the craziest nights of my life. After we played the show, someone told me that Romy spent the first half of the show on the floor in the crowd, watching everyone and dancing around them. Then halfway through, when her moment came, she jumped over the barrier and came on stage to play it with me before immediately stepping back to let the audience dance for the remainder of the show,” Fred Again… wrote in the caption of the YouTube video. “Romy, rave angel, hello everyone.”

Memorable Performances and Releases

Fred Again… took over the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on June 14, 2024, marking his debut performance at the stadium. This concert followed a three-night residency at the Frost Amphitheater in Stanford, California, during which he previewed unreleased songs like “Side By Side.”

Following his performance at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Fred Again… headlined the Reading Festival. In a four-star review of the show, NME stated, “Looking at the hordes on each other’s shoulders as fireworks light up the sky, flashing his Fontaines DC shirt (the band vying for a future headlining slot tonight), he’s every bit the same young fan he was at his first festival; a mirror of the sea of Reading walking before him. He knows what they want and gives it to them. ‘Fred Again… redefines what an R&L headliner can be.’

Fred Again…’s latest release was his fourth studio album, Ten Days. In a four-star review of the record, NME commented, “It would have been easy for Gibson to gain the attention and recognition of others and return to this album with huge, floor-filling bangers. Instead, he goes deeper and creates something both poignant and fun – a golden record that takes the little moments into account and creates pure, emotional magic, paving the way for many more ‘big, crazy, crazy’ moments in Fred Again… the future is bright ahead.”
