For CNN's New Year’s concert with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, the two co-hosts invited the DJ and producer to the show as one of their many guests. During the show, which aired live, Cohen asked Diplo where the “most traditional place” he used LSD was.
Diplo then revealed that he was taking LSD at that very moment: “Right now. I did something in the helicopter on the way here.” Laughing, he added: “I’m not even lying.”
Anderson Cooper immediately laughed, and Cohen seemed shocked and asked, “Are you tripping now?” Diplo replied, “Yeah, but it looks like an easy trip.” He then revealed that he had taken a “micro-dose” but could also have taken a “macro-dose” earlier in the day.

New Year’s Performances
Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers, TLC, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor were among the performers at this year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show in New York’s Times Square. The show, produced by Dick Clark Productions and iHeartMedia, was hosted by Ryan Seacrest for the 20th year in a row, along with co-host Rita Ora, who also performed that night.
