Back in September 2023, Deftones hinted at a forthcoming full-length album scheduled for release in 2024, which will follow their 2020 album, OHMS. Guitarist Stephen Carpenter indicated that the band “began to work on new material for a record.”

In April of this year, Deftones provided fans with an update regarding the upcoming album, with vocalist Chino Moreno explaining, “(We) have a whole record recorded in musical terms. Now my job is to finalize the vocals.”

However, the vocalist emphasized he didn’t want to “set specific timelines” for the album’s release, stating, “We’re actually in no rush. We want it to be great; I think that’s the most important thing. But it’s progressing, and yes—it’s really good.”

Moreover, Deftones are set to perform two nights at Rogers Stadium in Toronto as special guests during the upcoming round of North American stadium tours.
