New Single Release
Deep sea diver has released a new single 'What Do I Know' along with its official video, which is part of their upcoming album “Billboard Heart,” set to debut on February 28 through Sub Pop.
Significance of the Track
Jessica Dobson discusses the importance of the track: “What Do I Know” holds a unique place on the album. It is the first song where I applied all the skills I learned in my home studio. At that time, I mistakenly thought I was just creating a demo, and many parts were first takes. We embraced all the imperfections, and nothing was overproduced. For the music video, we aimed to capture the same spirit, allowing ourselves only a few hours to shoot in a small space. The song is existential, and we wanted the video to showcase the raw elements of who we are as a group.”
“Billboard Heart” features eleven tracks written and performed by the primary songwriter and guitarist Dobson, alongside co-writer and drummer Peter Mansen and synthesizer player Elliot Jackson. The album includes collaborations with Madison Cunningham, former SHINS member Yuki Matthews, Caroline Rose, and Greg Liss.
