Dead Poets Society Unveils Fresh Take on ‘Hurt’ Featuring The Warning

New version of damage

Dead Poets Society shared a fresh take on their single 'DAMAGE' featuring Warning.

Details of the collaboration

The original track is part of Dead Poet Society's second album, FISSION, which was released earlier this year through Spinefarm Records. The collaboration materialized when The Warning’s Paulina was seen singing along to the song on social media during a ShipRocked performance, prompting a live joint performance at Aftershock Festival.

“We are thrilled to present a new version of 'HURT' featuring The Warning,” Dead Poet Society stated. “We first spotted Pauline from The Warning singing along to this track on social media while we were at ShipRocked together. It felt only natural to invite her to join us on stage at Aftershock. That experience was so special that we asked them to record a studio version with us, alongside all three of The Warning sisters.”

The Warning expressed their excitement about the collaboration: “We initially listened to this song while working on our album Keep Me Fed with our producer Anton DeLost, who also produced the Dead Poet Society album. When ‘HURT’ was released, we were in the studio listening to it, and we instantly congratulated Anton on everything, as it was simply incredible. From that moment, we became fans of the song. Later, we met with DPS at ShipRocked and experienced the song live for the first time, which was amazing. At Aftershock, DPS invited Pau to join them on stage for a performance. That moment brought everything together, and we began discussing, ‘Hey, maybe we should officially play this song.’ Now, we are thrilled to see it finally released. It’s such a powerful song, and we are incredibly happy to be part of it.”
