David and Robin’s Surprise Duet
David Burn and Robin delivered a surprising duet of “Dancing on my own” during the live broadcast of SNL 50: The HomeComing Concert on Saturday night.
50th Anniversary Celebration
This memorable performance occurred at a special event on February 14, marking the 50th anniversary of SNL. The concert, coordinated by SNL alum Jimmy Fallon along with Executive Director and producer Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson, showcased a variety of musical acts.
Robin, who first graced the SNL stage in 2011, started her rendition of the 2010 hit “Dancing on my own” solo before David joined her for the second verse. Both artists donned matching outfits in dark khaki and utilized wireless microphones for their performance. They followed this with a rendition of Talking Heads’ “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody).”
The concert featured numerous star-studded performances, with artists including Backstreet Boys, Bad Bunny, Brandi Carlile, Chris Martin, Jack White, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus. Additionally, the surviving members of Nirvana—Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear—reunited to perform “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” accompanied by Post Malone on vocals.
The festivities continue with the SNL 50 Special airing on February 16, featuring announced guests such as Paul McCartney, Sabrina Carpenter, and Paul Simon.
