Dave Matthews Departs Concert Benefiting Families Affected by Critical Illnesses

Dave Matthew’s Concert Cancellation

Dave Matthew has withdrawn from the Fireaid concert due to a “critical disease in the family.”

He was scheduled to perform alongside John Mayer at the event, which was initially announced earlier this month as a fundraiser for the victims of the devastating Los Angeles forest fires. The concert is set to take place today (January 30) simultaneously at both the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum, the latter being the original venue for Matthew’s performance.

“Due to a critical illness in the family, Dave Matthew unfortunately cannot perform in Fireaid and Musicares this week,” the statement indicated.

The show at Kia Forum will feature performances by Alanis Morissette, Anderson .Paak, Graham Nash, Green Day, John Fogerty, Joni Mitchell, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stephen Stills, and Stevie Nicks, among others.
