Danny Dyer’s Rant at the Brit Awards
Danny Dyer engaged in a raucous critique of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Keir Starmer, during the 2025 Brit Awards. Catch the highlights below.
Jack Whitehall at the Awards
Last night (March 1), comedian and actor Jack Whitehall returned to host the show for the first time since 2021 and for the fifth time overall.
Amidst the awards and performances, Whitehall interviewed notable attendees, including Dyer, who was seated next to Horsegirl.
When asked by Whitehall who would win his British Branch of the Year, Dyer responded: “There are so many that the world is currently managing a nonsense,” before adding, “Probably, Sir Keir Starmer.”
This response elicited excitement from Whitehall, who promptly moved to the next announcement; however, he was once again interrupted by Dyer, who exclaimed, “He is slag,” in reference to the current Prime Minister. Check out the moment below.

Dyer’s Political History
This is not the first time Dyer has shared his political opinions. In 2018, he famously referred to former Prime Minister David Cameron as “Pizda” due to his failure to manage Brexit, which also gained traction on social media.
He joins others in utilizing the British ceremony as a platform to criticize the sitting Prime Minister, reminiscent of the rapper Stormi, who called out Theresa May during his final performances at the 2018 awards, saying in freestyle: “Teresa May, where is the money for Grenfell? / What did you think we just forgot about Grenfell?”
During last night’s ceremony, Dyer also presented the award for International Song of the Year, which Chappell Roan won for her track “Good Luck, Baby!”. Roan was not in attendance, leading to a few cheeky remarks from the audience as Dyer commented.
Later, Huffpost UK reported that Dyer allegedly said Roan “cannot be fucked to be here” before showcasing a video from the singer.
Other notable winners included Charlie XCX, who led the night with five nominations and secured four awards. She won Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Dance Act, while her collaboration with Billie Eilish, “Guess,” took home the Song of the Year award. She was also named the laureate for Songwriter of the Year.
