The singer of “Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough” previously toured North America for her farewell tour at the end of last year. During this run, she featured Sam Smith at her show in Madison Square Garden to perform a duet of her hit “Time After Time.” She also welcomed Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams during her Nashville show for a rendition of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”

Lauper shared her thoughts on the reasons behind this tour during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

While expressing that she’s nowhere near done, Lauper humorously excluded “trains, planes, and automobiles,” suggesting she remains open to spontaneous performances in her hometown. She stated, “I want to tour while I’m strong, but I don’t know what I’ll be like in four years.”

Shortly afterward, Lauper acknowledged her age, playfully mimicking using a walker. “For me, I wanted to be able to do this when I feel strong. I want to celebrate people—truly celebrate and have fun.”

In other news, Lauper was recently appointed to induct Rock-N-Roll 2025 into the Hall of Fame.
