Cork Band Cliffords Unveils New Single ‘BittersWeet’

New Single Release

Cliffords have released their latest single 'Bittersweet', marking their first release through Soil to the Sun.

Collaboration and Inspiration

Featuring Iona Lynch, this track follows their independent debut EP from last year, celebrating their first collaboration with producer Richie Kennedy at the Batter Studios in London.

“Bittersweet explores a more abstract perspective on nostalgia and our experiences in Cork over the past few years,” Lynch notes. “The opening lines of the song, ‘The City was begged for the search,’ originate from advice my grandfather shared with me: ‘Look up, or you’ll miss half the city’s beauty.’ The song encapsulates the complex emotions we face as a music group and as young individuals. Its lyrics delve into heartache and the intensity of our feelings during those moments.”
