Return of a Thrilling Series

A Wednesday actor portrays an adult version of Misty Kuili in a survival thriller that returned to Paramount+ with the first two episodes of its third season last Sunday (February 16).

In the second episode of the second season, the 1994 Lightning hit was featured, where her love for the song was revealed just before she recalled a painful memory. Check out this scene below, along with the original video of the song.

However, during press events for the third season, Ricci candidly shared her thoughts about this song and the band as a whole. Absolute Radio asked her about her track choice for a video edit of Misty, to which she replied, “So far this is not another living song.”

She added, “I really hate this song. They had to joke with me halfway through shooting this scene because they kept laughing about it during the execution, saying, ‘We are unsure.’ And they lied to me to make me stop laughing at it.”

She revisited the topic in a video for Pour The Field stating, “Some of these songs we have to listen to,” Ricci complained. “Sorry, Live has never been cool. When it came out in high school – everyone acted like ‘Dorks, everyone loves Live.’”

“And then we come to shoot this scene, and they’re all like, ‘I love this song, it’s so amazing!’ I’m over here thinking, ‘What are you talking about? Do I have amnesia?’

Her Yellow co-star Melanie Linsky chimed in, “I love this song.” To which Ricci responded, “No, no!”

For those who disagree with Ricci’s assessment, it has been announced that this year’s Summer Festival will take place in Wisconsin in July, featuring Nickelback and Creed as headliners, along with 3 Doors Down and others.

Yellow, co-created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, is a mystery thriller that follows a girls’ soccer team in 1996, who become stranded in the Canadian wilderness for 19 months after a tournament trip to Seattle. The show also explores their adult lives today.

Early reviews of the third season have been positive, with many critics suggesting that the show has returned to its best form.
