Chris Martin Pays Tribute to Liam Payne, Marianne Faithfull, and Others with “All My Love” in the Grammy In Memoriam Segment

Chris Martin’s Tribute at the Grammys

Chris Martin from Coldplay performed the heartfelt version of “All My Love” during the Grammys’ 2025 In Memoriam segment, honoring musicians who have passed away over the last year.

Remembering Liam Payne and Other Artists

Among those commemorated at the ceremony last night (February 2) was former One Direction star Liam Payne, who tragically died on October 16 last year after falling from the third-floor balcony at the Casasur Palermo hotel.

His untimely death sent shockwaves through the pop world and sparked discussions about the best protections for young musicians, as fans and advocates called for enhanced safety measures for those in the public eye.

The awards featured a video tribute to Payne from his days in the band. As Payne’s photograph appeared on screen, Martin began to play Coldplay’s ballad “All My Love,” accompanied by a string section and young guitarist Grace Bauers, who added two emotional solos to the performance.

Others honored during the show included the Allman Brothers, Gart Hudson, Toby Kate, Rich Khomi Kuan, and Marianne Faithfull.

At the age of 78, Marianne Faithfull was recognized as one of the remarkable female artists during the British Invasion of the 1960s.
