New Single Preview from Wet Leg

Exciting Performances and Teasers
The White Island group shared a snippet of their new track – their first new material in three years – at the beginning of this month. They debuted the upcoming single during a small concert in Brighton on Sunday (March 23) and in London last night (March 24), alongside six other new songs.
Today (March 28), the group released the new teaser clip “Catch These Fists” on their official social media accounts. The video features a frontwoman, Rian Teasdale, in a white T-shirt holding a boombox while singing: “Can you catch the ball of medicine / can you catch yourself when you fall / you should be careful / you will catch my drift / because I really want to know if you will catch these fists,” – can you catch these fists, ” – can you catch these fists.” This is set against a bouncy bass line and drum hit.
The post signature indicated that the single will be released next week on Tuesday (April 1). This new teaser follows a previous clip where the group showcased “Catch These Fists,” featuring Teasdale’s lips synced while crawling on a table at the Moth London club ahead of Wet Leg’s intimate concert earlier in the week. The last release from Wet Leg was their self-titled debut LP in 2022, which garnered them two Grammy awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Performance, along with a Brit Award for Best British Group in 2023.
The album received a glowing five-star review from NME’s Ryan Daly, who commented: “Wet Leg started when Teasdale and Chambers rode the Ferris wheel at the festival, where the couple decided to give music another try; their debut album feels like a whimsical ride through sci-fi, showcasing delightful quirks.”
In other news, the band has announced plans to kick off their new era with two shows in New York and Los Angeles, with performances at Market Hotel in Brooklyn on March 31 and The River in Los Angeles on April 8.
In their Instagram post, they wrote: “Hey, neighbor! Why don’t you come to the lower part of our garden? It’s time for a little gathering… Just a couple of special nights in New York, USA, and us.”
Additionally, the group is set to play at several festivals, including Glastonbury, Green Man, Shaky Knees Festival, Roskilde, Wildlife Festival, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, TRNSMT 2025, Boardmasters, and Now Now Festival.
