New Single Release
Miley Cyrus has unveiled her latest single, “End of the World,” along with a music video that draws inspiration from the disco era—check it out below.
Upcoming Album Details
The artist is set to release her ninth album, titled “Something Beautiful,” on May 30 via Columbia Records, and she has already teased an impressive cover. Cyrus is also acting as an executive producer for the LP, collaborating with Shone Everett (known for work with Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes).
Earlier this week (March 31), Cyrus provided a dramatic and intriguing preview of the “brave” album with a captivating “prelude.” She later followed up with the explosive title track.
Now, the singer has shared the music video for “End of the World.” Even though it is the third preview of her upcoming album, it is officially labeled as the “first single” from “Something Beautiful.”

“End of the World” is a disco-inspired track, and the accompanying video showcases a retro aesthetic reminiscent of the 70s, featuring the singer in a grand room adorned with fire effects and a drum set.
The song credits also include Molly Rankin and Alec O’Hanli as co-writers along with Shone Everett, Gregory Aldei Hein, and others.
This isn’t the first time fans have heard “End of the World.” Cyrus debuted the track during a performance at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California, early last year. Take a look here.
As part of her “Endless Summer Vacation” in 2023, the star’s new album will be complemented by a “visual” film directed by Cyrus along with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, which is expected to hit theaters in June.
The film is described as “the only one of its kind pop opera from the mind of Miley Cyrus.” Its official description highlights a “unique visual experience feeding Fantasy, featuring 13 original songs from the upcoming album.”
Earlier, Cyrus hinted that the album would draw inspiration from Pink Floyd’s “The Wall.” “We leaned into it a lot. I have this initial attachment to it. My vision was like ‘The Wall,’ but with a more glamorous wardrobe and infused with pop culture,” said Miley Cyrus.
In a four-star review of “Endless Summer Vacation,” NME remarked: “All of this results in an album that captures your full attention, even if it isn’t the most daring or visionary work from Cyrus.”
