Noah Weiland has released a cover of “Sex -Tipa,” a song originally performed by his father Scott’s band, the Stone Church Pilots. Check it out below.

Song Background

This song was the debut of the Singeal Alt Corus group in 1993 and featured in their first album “Core,” released the previous year.

Now, Noah has shared an intimate acoustic version of the track dedicated to his father, who passed away in 2015 from an accidental overdose.

Watch the eccentric video for the track below, featuring Noah navigating the city while accompanied by a doll representing Scott. The video includes subtitles urging viewers to cherish their time on Earth, ending with the poignant message: “I would like to dream of your eternity. But this is normal … because now I will continue your legacy.”

Sharing the track on Instagram, Noah mentioned it reflects “the dream I’ve long had to see my father again.” He added, “Sometimes, it’s hard for me to stay present, but I’m trying.”

The Journey Ahead

This is Noah’s first release of 2025, following a series of singles last year, including “Good Riddance & Goodbye,” “Yesterday,” and “2 Nights.” His debut album, “Call Hesus,” is set to be released later in 2025, continuing the themes explored in his EP “The Last Kiss before Detoxification.”

Noah also revisited his father’s vocal tracks on the song “Time Tell,” released last year after an attempted extortion. An unknown individual gained access to Scott’s vocals and threatened to leak them online unless Noah paid over $2,000.

Additionally, Noah refuted claims of being a “trust fund kid.” He expressed, “I’m always frustrated when people say such things. My dad was millions in debt when he died, and my mother always had regular jobs. Honestly, even if my father’s estate comes out of debt, I don’t want that money. I want to build my own career.”
