Viral Moment at Coachella
Following the D4VD Faceplant at Coachella, he embraced the viral moment and playfully responded to fans on social media.
Memorable Performance
The indie-pop rocker performed at the Gobi tent on the festival’s opening day (April 11), attempting to impress the crowd with a gymnastic move. Unfortunately, he slipped on stage, landing headfirst after miscalculating a trick.
In good humor, he later joked on X/Twitter about his quick recovery and continued singing. Sharing a video of a more successful performance moment, he wrote: “He got up and received a date, immediately fun, Fun Mf Set.”
As fans teased him about the fall, he followed up with a meme of a dog looking at the sunset, captioning it: “A complete ritual of humiliation … See you next week, Coachella, I love you.”

Before his upcoming set next weekend, he assured fans that he had “trained for the next.” On his Instagram stories, he shared a screenshot of a mishap while attempting a reverse flip and mentioned he planned to listen to his track “What You Are Waiting” while practicing that move 1000 times today.
Last year, he told NME about his tour across the US and Europe, supporting SZA, as well as composing music for television and games. He revealed that he had never attended a concert before last year’s performance.
“I never went to concerts, festivals, or anything like that. So I felt like I allowed the audience to interact with me while I performed. I wasn’t nervous. I didn’t have a backstage snack of a mental breakdown,” he remarked.

“It is very easy; I love to perform. When you perform for people who know your songs, it’s like an exchange of energy. They give me energy, I give them energy, and we both have fun. Entertainment on stage is the most important thing for me.”
Elsewhere at the festival, Benson Bun joined D4VD to impress fans with their stage movements, and their performance included branded reverse flips as well.
