Event Highlights at the Royal Geographical Society

On Tuesday (March 4), Courtney Love attended an event at the London Royal Geographical Society, where she engaged in conversation with actor Todd Almond, who celebrated the launch of her new collection of oral history, Slow Train: “Girl from the Northern Country” Bob Dylan and the Revival of Broadway.

After their discussion, Love leaped from her chair when a musician with an acoustic guitar joined them. She then performed the cover “Like Rolling Stone” by Bob Dylan, with Todd Almond providing backing support.

Update on Hole Reunification and Dylan’s Oscar Plans

According to a report by Katya Stone, Love also discussed the potential reunification of Hole during the event, again denying any plans for the group to come back together. She has previously dismissed rumors of a reunion, despite telling a live audience in February 2024 that the group was coming together “later”.

The performance occurred nearly 60 years after Dylan’s own rendition of “Like a Rolling Stone” at the Royal Albert Hall, located just a stone’s throw from the Royal Geographical Society.

Recently, it was reported that Dylan was invited to speak and attend the 2025 Oscars but declined the offer. His latest biographical film, Full Unknown, received eight nominations at the awards ceremony but did not win any awards.

In a four-star review for NME, Alex Flood noted: “If you’re a newcomer to Bob, you’ll leave the cinema eager to dive into his discography.
