The frontman of Slipknot, Corey Taylor, delivered a brief cover of “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan – check it out below.

Details of the Live Set

Last weekend (April 5), Taylor performed an acoustic set at the Spookala Congress of Horror and Pop Culture in Tampa, Florida. Throughout the performance, he showcased several classics from his bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, along with his solo material and various covers.

Concluding his set, he treated the audience to a short cover of “Pink Pony Club,” singing only the first verse and the chorus. You can check it out below.

During his acoustic set, Taylor also played a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “What I Can Never Have” and Foo Fighters’ “Everlong.” You can view clips of both performances below.

Additionally, he covered Incubus’ “I Miss You” and included it in his set, opening with this last cover.

The cover of “Pink Pony Club” comes a few weeks after his wife Alicia shared a screenshot of a text exchange in which she asked him to learn the song. After a moment of doubt, he replied, “As you want. I will recognize this … for you.”

Upcoming Plans for Slipknot

As for Slipknot, the metal group is set to embark on a European tour this June, kicking off at the Swedish festival in Sylvesborg on June 4. They will make stops in Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Denmark. The tour will culminate in two final performances at Barcelona’s Rock Fest and Viveiro Resurrection Fest. They recently performed a memorable show in London in December as part of their extensive 25th-anniversary tour. Taylor expressed his gratitude to the audience, saying: “The first thing I want to tell you is how grateful we are, how much we value, and how much we love every single one of you here in this building. 25 years ago, we released our very first Slipknot album, and so many people around the world connected with us, but no one took us to this damn city and this damn country. London, England will always be our home away from home.”
