A Personal Journey
“Know Me is a journey of growing not only into yourself, but also into some of the people close to you,” Charlieiii shares. “For me, the song is specifically about coming out as non-binary, and some people close to me don’t quite understand or take the time to comprehend what that means. In a broader sense, it can be challenging when individuals think they know you better than you do and make decisions on your behalf without truly seeing or listening to you.”
Hall comments: “Collaborating with Charlie was an exhilarating and motivating experience. It’s rare to encounter an artist who has crafted such a unique world around themselves and their music. From being strangers on the internet who found our resemblance amusing, Charlie became one of my favorite collaborators. This partnership opened doors for me to experiment with innovative sounds and explore themes with someone who truly understands.”
The single follows Charlieiii’s prior works, including their debut EP “DOG BOWL” and singles like “EASY” featuring Piri, “BUMPED IN THE HEAD” featuring Ellie Dixon, and “HAPPY BIRTHDAY.” They have also collaborated with artists like Fred…, RAYE, MNEK, and piri & tommy, while taking on the role of creative director for various other musicians.
