Charli XCX Urges Brands Donating Clothes to Support Victims of the “Horrific” Los Angeles Wildfires Instead

Charli XCX Calls for Donations

Charli XCX has urged brands sending her clothes to instead contribute to those impacted by the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

Recent Success and Fashion Expertise

The pop singer found tremendous success last summer with her sixth studio album, Brat, which led to a successful tour, including a collaboration with Troye Sivan, along with numerous advertising campaigns for brands like H&M, Kim Kardashian’s Skims line, Acne Studios, Converse, and more.

The “Von Dutch” singer is now looking to leverage her fashion knowledge to assist those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires that erupted on January 7th. This unprecedented calamity has claimed 16 lives, forced nearly 180,000 residents to evacuate, and caused significant damage to over 13,400 structures.

“As a public figure, I often receive clothing and other items from brands who wish to send me gifts,” XCX shared on her Instagram Stories yesterday (January 11).

She further expressed that while it was “very kind and nice” to receive complimentary clothing, she wanted to “encourage brands to donate to those truly in need,” urging her followers to “please donate to those adversely affected” by these tragic fires in Los Angeles.
