Charli XCX to Headline New A24 Film Inspired by Her Own Concept

Charli XCX will star in a new A24 film called Moment – Find out more below.

Film Details

According to an exclusive report from Diversity, the film is based on the musician’s original idea, although the details are currently under wraps. She will co-produce through her production company, Studio365.

Moment is directed by Scottish filmmaker Aidan Zamiri and will mark his feature directorial debut. The film is scored by Ag Cook, a longtime collaborator of Charli’s who is also featured on her acclaimed album “Brat”.

The film has yet to announce its cast other than Charli XCX or set a release date.

In December, it was announced that Charli XCX had been cast in Galerest along with notable names like Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Danielle Brühl, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

With Moment added to her roster, XCX now has eight projects in total, including Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Gender and the graphic novel adaptation 100 Nights of the Hero, which features Emma Corrin (Deadpool and Wolverine) and Maika Monroe (Longlegs).

Musical Achievements

Her culture-defining sixth record “Brat” was released in June and named album of the year by NME. The “Brat” phenomenon has been remarkable, showcasing not only exceptional marketing but also incredible music at its core.

“Brat” is positioned for another successful summer this year. Charli has already been confirmed as the first headliner for Parklife next year, in addition to curating a day at London’s Lido Festival, where she will perform.

Furthermore, she will be delivering two outdoor shows in Belfast and Dublin, performing at Coachella 2025, and headlining at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Porto. Additionally, a US arena tour has been announced for April and May.
