Charli XCX and Clairo’s Performance

Charli XCX and Clairo took the stage together to perform “Sofia” during the Claro set at the Laneway festival in Melbourne.

Details of the Collaboration

This collaboration occurred during Clairo’s set at the Australian festival earlier today (February 14), where the duo showcased the track from Clairo’s 2019 album, Immunity.

The performance marked the first time Clairo included “Sofia” in her setlist since 2022, serving as the final song in her lineup of 13 tracks at the festival. Both artists are currently on the Laneway festival tour, which has stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Perth.

Their connection extends beyond this live collaboration, as Clairo previously featured on Charli XCX’s track “February 2017” alongside Yaeji. Clairo has also openly expressed her admiration for Charli’s work, particularly regarding the “Girl, So Confusing” remix with Lorde. “I love this song,” Clairo stated. “They are both geniuses in my eyes. Charli has been someone I’ve looked up to forever, and the same goes for Lorde. I can’t appreciate what they do enough. It feels really cool and incredibly necessary. There was a gap that needed to be filled, and I needed someone to remind me how complicated female friendships can be.”

Charli XCX recently received recognition at The Grammy Awards 2025, winning three awards including Best Dance Pop Recording for “Von Dutch,” Best Dance/Electronic Album for “Brat,” and Best Recording Package for “Brat.” She is also nominated for five Brit Awards, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.
