Tour Experiences and Emotional Challenges

Earlier this year, Charli, who will head the Primavera alongside Chappell Rohan and Sabrina Carpenter in what she describes as the “holy trinity,” kicked off the US “SWEAT” tour with Sivan, making appearances in major cities such as Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Denver, and Los Angeles.

She later mentioned that after wrapping up a solo UK tour to promote her critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Brat, the extensive concert run proved to be “really hard emotionally.” Nonetheless, she noted that touring with Sivan earlier this year contributed to making the journey “a lot easier and less emotional for me.”

“To perform at my best, I have to really push myself physically, which can be incredibly frustrating,” she explained. “It feels like a bit of a hell hole, but being around Troy makes it significantly less stressful.”

Exciting Announcements

Now, the “Brat” singer has confirmed their reunion at the Barcelona festival next year.

Taking to social media, XCX wrote: “Okay I know it’s already been announced that I’ll be headlining Primavera next year but I had this idea……… @troyesivan do you want it?” She later shared a follow-up post reading: “SWEAT PT. 2.”

NME had a chance to witness Charli and Sivan’s “Sweat” tour, giving it a stellar five-star review. “As they conclude the night with their collaboration ‘1999’ and the ‘Talk Talk’ remix, it’s evident they have both mastered their craft and are finally receiving the recognition they’ve earned. The summer of Spawn may have ended, but for these two, it is just the beginning.”

Meanwhile, her June release “Brat,” which made waves in popular culture, was awarded album of the year by NME. As a cultural phenomenon, Brat stood out remarkable. However, the album – the foundation behind the release, the music behind the marketing – is simply extraordinary,” NME commented.

“As a songwriter and lyricist, Charli has balanced between uncompromising attitude and raw vulnerability. Brat skillfully navigates this spectrum, delivering powerful tracks that remain poignantly human. This album marks not only Charlie’s peak but also sets a new standard for contemporary pop music.”

Looking ahead, the summer of “Brat” is gearing up for a second tour in 2025. Alongside Primavera, Charli has been confirmed as the first headliner for Parklife next year and will grace London’s LIDO Festival with an incredible performance. Additionally, she will play two outdoor shows in Belfast and Dublin, perform at Coachella 2025, and has announced a US tour set for April and May.
