Behind the Scenes on TikTok
In a series of TikTok posts, she and her creative director Ramish Sattar can be seen dancing on the highway with a painted country backdrop, set to be released on Thursday (March 13).
In the clips, which fans have already begun to recreate, a pair was seen singing in their mocking choir: “Because you don’t need to tell me / it’s just in my nature / so take it as a writer, because, a baby who gives / does not need to rush, because, baby, I deliver / no, not a strange boy, Critter / I do work.“

Roan has been teasing “The Giver” for some time, and the first NME Cover Star previewed the upcoming track during an appearance on Saturday evening on the air last November.
During the show, she encouraged fans to refer to the new song as “The anthem of the lesbian,” saying, “Everything you guys say you know how to treat a woman correctly. Well, only a woman knows how to relate to a woman.”
Prior to this, producer Dan Nigro told New York Times that fans could expect a “funny song with country vibes,” mentioning it would showcase a “new version” of the “Good luck, baby!” singer.
Roan has also opened vinyl pre-orders for two distinct options called the Sandogest Edition and the Law Edition, expected to ship in August.
Recently, she took to Instagram to share a playful post featuring a “dentist,” captioning it: “Damn, data not only for dentists.”
