Chappell Roan Prepares for the Grammy Awards

Chappell Roan shared the update on the eve of the 67th Grammy Prize, which will be held on Sunday (February 2).

Grammy Nominations and Emotional Reflections

First NME Cover Star gained six Grammy nominations with the meteoric success of her album of 2023 The Rise and Fall of the Princess of the Middle West. This includes Album of the Year, Record of the Year (“Good Luck, Baby!”), and Best New Artist.

Roan will also speak at the ceremony, and earlier she teased that she “will say something contradictory” if she wins. In a recent Instagram post shared yesterday (January 29), Roan spoke about life leading to awards.

“Hey girls, I just woke up. Good morning, Bubu. This is a week of Grammy,” she wrote. “I am very emo. My heart feels warm and fuzzy with all the support that I was given last year.”

She continued, revealing that the journey was still “incredible, terrible, spiritual, and confusing.”

The singer of “Red Wine Supernova” has been open about her opinion on fan culture and has often talked honestly about her quick ascent to fame. Last year, she discussed the normalization of extreme fan behavior, which she described as “persecuting,” and mentioned that people “say shit on the internet” that “will not leave you alone.”
