Twenty One Pilots, d4vd, and Royal & The Serpent took center stage at the Game Awards 2024, presenting an emotional medley to celebrate the hit Netflix animated series. Secret – see below.

Recognition for Secret

Secret – inspired by the popular game League of Legends – was nominated for best adaptation at the Game Awards 2024 but ultimately lost to Fall Out. Nonetheless, Arcane was honored with a stirring medley arranged by Riot Games.

The performance commenced with Royal & The Serpent singing “Wasteland.” Shortly thereafter, d4vd made his entrance during the emotionally charged “Remember Me,” as scenes from the series played on the screens around them.

Twenty One Pilots then delivered their breathtaking hit “The Line.” All three songs were crafted specifically for the Secret soundtrack. Watch the complete medley performance below.

Future of the Franchise

The second season of Secret premiered in November, releasing three acts with three episodes each. The series concluded with a dramatic finale.

Moreover, Riot has confirmed that both Secret and the League of Legends universes are currently in development. In a discussion with Radio Times in October, Arcane co-creator Christian Linke expressed a desire to explore “different regions.” He stated, “Piltover and Zaun have been our home for so long, but there is Noxus, and there is Ionia. Bilgewater is really fun. There’s Bandal City, and the more unusual parts; we’re really looking at them all because we love that IP and we love those characters.”

He added, “You take them all as far as you can and see which ones have wings. So that’s our job now. Nothing is set in stone yet, nothing is in production yet. But now we are developing them.”

“The Line” marks the first release by Twenty One Pilots since “Clancy.” The track “Clancy” received a three-star review from NME: “‘Clancy’ is more often than not the sound of a band spinning on wheels, caught in a strange space where their colorful conceptual ideas are drawn from a beige musical palette.”
