Stunning Performance Highlights

The performance began with the 2024 MEGAHIT “Espresso” version, featuring a troupe of the king’s dancing guards joining the singer, while Carpenter showcased the Straits of Britain’s Rules on stage. “Hello British!” she exclaimed as she descended the steps to the O2 stage.

She then transitioned into the sultry performance of “Bed Chem,” dancing on a giant pink bed alongside a team of supportive dancers in her boudoir. Watch the video here:

A Night of Honors

Carpenter has been awarded the Global Success Prize for the ceremony and has also received nominations for two additional honors, including International Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for “Espresso.”

The British ceremony took place at the O2 in London on Saturday evening (March 1), broadcasting live on ITV1 and ITVX. Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall returned to host the show for the first time since 2021, marking his fifth time overall.

Charlie XCX entered the night with the most nominations, receiving five nods, including Artist of the Year, Pop Act, and Dance Act. Her collaboration with Billie Eilish, “Guess,” was also nominated for Song of the Year, while her recording “Brat,” which inspired Brat Summer, was included in the short list for the MasterCard album.

Other performers of the night included Sam Fender, Jade, Teddy Plavs, The Last Party, Miles Smith, Lola Young, Ezra Collective, and George Smith. Shabuzi was originally scheduled to perform but had to withdraw.
