Catch Rosé’s Performance of “APT.” and “Toxic Till The End” on “Fallon”!

Rosé’s Live Debut on The Tonight Show

Last night, Rosé made her solo debut in the studio with the “APT” mix and “Toxic Till The End” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon – watch her performance below.

Performance Highlights

The BLACKPINK star, who released her debut solo album “Rosie” on December 6, performed a medley of singles from the record last night (December 11) accompanied by a six-member band.

She started the medley by taking over Fallon’s desk and singing “APT,” propping his feet up before launching into a rendition of “Toxic Till The End” with confetti falling.

Also on Fallon, Rosé recalled her first audition for BLACKPINK, explaining, “I walked in and honestly thought it was a joke. I thought, ‘This is funny.’ I have no chance of getting it at all.” But my dad and I flew from Melbourne to Sydney for the audition, so I thought, ‘Well, maybe we could make some memories…’

“I did it and said, ‘Bye,’ then they called me and I just remember thinking, ‘What’s going on?!’

Reception of Rosé’s Work

This isn’t the first time Rosé (real name Rosanne Park) has appeared on television. On an Evening show, she sang “How You Like That” with her BLACKPINK bandmates in June 2020, and also performed a pre-taped version of her debut solo single “On The Ground” in March 2021, but this was her first live, in-person solo performance.

“APT,” a collaboration between Rosé and Bruno Mars, was released in October and spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Global 200, reached number one in South Korea, peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100, and became number two on the UK Singles Chart.

Meanwhile, “Rosie” peaked at number two in South Korea in its first week of release and was well received by critics. In a four-star review, NME stated, “As a member of BLACKPINK, Rosé has long embodied an image of unwavering strength, a carefully calibrated personality that leaves no room for fragility. But in Rosie, she sheds that armor, exposing her flaws with disarming openness.”

“For an artist who has always been kept at arm’s length by the public, ‘Rosie’ offers a rare and intimate invitation to understand Rosé as more than just a star—to see Rosie, a woman searching for validation, love, and meaning.”

“In doing so, Rosé’s debut becomes a quiet but powerful statement of herself, marking the beginning of a new chapter that is refreshingly honest and authentically her.”
