Julien Baker performed the cover of the classic “System Down” with Jasmine.

On Friday (March 14), Jasmine. 4. The coating opened Jasmine.4.t’s set, which was followed by the performance of “Skin on the Skin” alongside Baker.

Collaborative Performance Details

For the cover, Baker showcased her guitar skills while Jasmine.4.t played guitar and sang. They were supported by a violinist. Check out the performance fan below.

This was not all, as Julien Baker also performed at SXSW 2025. Two days prior, she and Torres took the stage together, debuting a new melody from their upcoming album titled “Send the My Way Prayer,” scheduled for release on April 18 through Matador. You can pre-order “Send a Prayer on My Way” here.

The new song, “Showdown,” features a split in vocals between Baker and Torres, with Baker playing acoustic guitar. Like the upcoming album, “Showdown” has a country-sounding vibe that incorporates strings and more.

This is the fifth song the duo has previously showcased from their forthcoming country album, following “Sugar in the Tank,” “Sylvia,” “Tuesday,” and the recently debuted “Lower Part of the Bottle” on the Daily Show earlier this month.

In 2024, Torres opened one of Baker’s shows, where they sang two new songs together. In November, they announced joint festival performances and launched a new website. In December, they shared their first single, “Sugar in the Tank.”

In recent years, Baker has been active with Boygenus alongside Fibi Briders and Lucy Dusk, with the trio releasing their second album, “The Record,” in 2023. Her last solo album, “Little Supvious,” was unveiled in 2021. Meanwhile, Torres released her sixth album, “What a Common Room,” in January.
