The rapper BTS J-Hope has unveiled his latest single “Mona Lisa,” marking his second release following “Sweet Dreams” with Miguel.

The song dropped on March 21, along with its music video via Big Hit Music. “This is a track based on a speech that I present after a long time. I prepared it as a gift, thinking about Armis (Fans of BTS), who was waiting for a song for performance. I am genuinely happy about this,” he said regarding the song to Korean Times.

Production Insights

J-Hope also took on the role of co-producer for “Mona Lisa.” “When I first heard the track, I liked it, but I was not sure that I could handle it. However, after altering it in Los Angeles to better suit my style, it surprisingly fit well. I was able to naturally visualize the whole concept, and I am satisfied with how it turned out,” he added.

Upcoming Tour

The new single from the South Korean idol has been out for less than a week, and he has plans for a total of three singles this year. The first single, a collaboration with American singer-songwriter Miguel titled “Sweet Dreams,” was released earlier this month.

J-Hope is set to bring his “Hope on the Stage” world tour to 14 cities globally. From March to April, the BTS member will perform in North America before heading to Asia in mid-April for concerts in the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and more.
