Exciting News from Bring Me the Horizon
Bring Me the Horizon’s Oli Sykes and his partner Alissic announced that they are expecting twins.
The couple shared this news in an Instagram video on Sunday (May 11), where Sykes captioned it “Dois,” which means “two” in his native Portuguese.
The video serves as a gender reveal announcement, with the couple sitting at their table, each holding a cupcake in a cardboard box. Alissic was the first to reveal the contents of her cupcake, saying to the camera: “This is a double, sincere.” Nervously giggling, she bites into the cake, revealing a pink filling. “Damn it, we have a girl!” Sykes exclaims, hugging his wife.
Next, Sykes takes a bite of his cupcake, exposing a blue filling. The couple both shout as Sykes repeatedly says: “No, damn it.” As Alissic wipes her tears, Sykes reassures her, “This is also very tasty.”
Couple’s Background and Upcoming Projects
The Brazilian model and alt-pop singer Alissic, whose real name is Alissa Sals, is also the vocalist and lyricist for Bring Me the Horizon. The pair got married in 2017 after meeting while working on his Dead Dead Clothing line.
Last month, Sykes revealed that he had returned to the studio, sharing two images from the recording session.
Bring Me the Horizon is set to headline Leeds in 2025, and according to Sykes, they have “several more songs” ready for the show, following the announcement of songs as part of the “Nex Gen: Director” project he aims to release.
The band also revealed a tour across North America in the fall of 2025, with performances scheduled at the Life Festival in the USA in September, alongside slots at Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals in June.

Sheffield released its seventh and latest studio album “Post Human: Nex Gen” last May, which was later named one of NME’s best albums of 2024, praised for “setting new bars for modern metal.”
In a conversation with NME at the British 2025 festival earlier this year, Sykes emphasized the need for BMTH to take a break, saying, “At some point, it’s about finding this time.” He added, “I think we need to take a little break, but it’s hard because we have so much we want to do and so many places we want to visit.”

Sykes shared: “I think it will be good for us because it feels like next to the first ‘Post Human’ (EP from the 2020s ‘Survival Horror’)… We haven’t left.”
Meanwhile, Alissic spoke with NME earlier this year about her new hypnotic single “Concrete,” her first new music since 2022. She mentioned that the track is part of a new EP she plans to release this spring via Classii Records. Watch the music video above.
