“Aurum” features 11 tracks and spans one hour and 19 minutes. This marks his 30th solo album – you can check it out below.

Regarding AI, Eno shared: “The biggest issue I see with AI isn’t its internal workings. It’s concerning that it is controlled by a select few individuals, whose opinions I find less and less relevant, while I become more critical of the impact of their work.”

He commented on social media saying, “I think social networks have been both a disaster and somewhat useful. These two can coexist, but from a societal perspective, it’s been a disaster. The political implications have been toxic. This could have been different if it had started in a non-profit mode, as profit maximization drives many projects. We see this in various industries focusing on profits rather than more constructive intentions.”

Eno continued: “Regarding AI, I have always been excited about new technologies and their potential to inspire creativity in unexpected ways. Often, tools designed for one purpose find new life in the hands of artists.”

“For instance, distortion is fundamentally tied to the sound of popular music. Many intriguing results arise when equipment is used in ways that deviate from its intended purpose.”

Brian Eno’s last solo release was 2022’s Foreverandevernomore, which received a three-star review from NME‘s Patrick Clark, stating: “Foreverandevernomore is never completely comfortable, yet never fully desperate.”

Following Foreverandevernomore, Eno collaborated with Fred Again on the 2023 album “Secret Life.” This album also earned a three-star review from NME‘s Will Richards, noting: “Secret Life sees Eno transform, ultimately assisting the creator back into the atmospheric haze. This unexpected album, despite its frequent beauty, works best as a puzzle rather than an outstanding record on its own.”
