Brian d’Addario Announces Debut Solo Album

Brian d’Addario has revealed his debut solo album “Until the Morning,” set for release on March 20 through Headstack Records, a new label launched by Lemon Twigs.

Album Collaborations and Inspirations

The elder of the songwriting duo d’Addario has collaborated closely with his brother Michael, who not only produced the album but also contributes harmony vocals, including lead vocals on two tracks. This release follows the 2023 Lemon Twigs album “All Harmony” and the 2024 single “Dream Is All That We Know.”

Commenting on the title track, d’Addario states, “This is a song about love intertwined with those fleeting moments when you grasp something real amid all the noise and propaganda. ‘Night is black until the morning.’ Perhaps everything must completely fall apart before it can get better.”

The album features two collaborations with poet Stephen Kalinich, renowned for his work with the Beach Boys. “I met Stephen in 2017 after performing some of our initial shows in Los Angeles. I was such a fan of his work and was impressed by his vibrancy and personality. He wore everything bright orange; he described himself as ‘Like a pumpkin!’” d’Addario recalls. “For some time, he sent me poems, asking me to set them to music. When I came across the line ‘What you are, beautiful,’ it felt so musical, and as soon as I picked up the guitar, it flowed effortlessly. The same happened about a year later with a poem he sent titled ‘Song of All.’

“Until the Morning,” “Song of All,” “Nothing on My Mind,” “One Day I Return Home,” “Only to Facilitate My Mind,” “Flash in the Pan,” “Company,” “This Summer,” “You Are a Beautiful Spirit,” “Useless Tears,” and “Without a House.”
