New Singles from Bon Iver
Bon Iver is preparing to release two new singles through 24/7 Trail Camera Camera, one of which features Daniel Chaim.
Upcoming Releases
The tracks titled “If I Could Wait” (with Daniel Haim) and “Walk Home” will be available on Friday (March 14) along with their own lyrical videos. Before this, a special preview of both songs will be streamed live in a brief window on 24/7 Trail Camera Camera, along with an artistic installation that Justin Vernon quietly placed among the trees in Wisconsin back in October. Since then, he has used this installation to communicate with a dedicated group of followers.
Fans can join the early listening event at 6 PM GMT tomorrow (March 13) here.
Both singles will be featured on Bon Iver’s upcoming fifth studio album, 'Sable, Fable', set to release on April 11 through Jagjaguwar (pre-order here).
This release will mark Bon Iver’s first full-length album since 2019’s “I, I” and follows last year’s EP “Sable.” The EP included three tracks — “Things Behind Things,” “Speysid E,” and “Season” — which will open the new album. It also features the single “All Peaceful Love.”

Additional track titles include “Story,” “Day of the First” (featuring Dijon and Flok Dam), “There is a Rhythm,” and “Au Revoir.”
Produced by Vernon and Jim-Stek, “Sable, Fable” was primarily recorded at Vernon’s April Base studio in Wisconsin. The press release indicates that the conceptual foundation for the LP began in early February 2022, “when the stack arrived at the base with Daniel Chaim.”
It further explains: “For several days, Vernon’s and Chaim’s voices intertwined in the snow: ‘If I could only wait,’ a duet with a significant prospect that he has no power to be the best version of himself outside the glow of new love.”
The description elaborates: “Like fables, each track conveys a lesson, and ‘…fable’ serves as a necessary rhythm when one is filled with another person or lover—a patient commitment to find a pace for growth and unity.”
“The elusive and dense layers of sound that once masked Justin Vernon’s voice on ‘I, I’ and (2016) ‘22, a million’ have dissipated. The previous four albums represented a cycle of seasons, which has now concluded; ‘Sable, Fable’ is a canvas for raw truth.”
In a four-star review of Bon Iver’s EP, NME wrote: “Sable can serve as a reminder of the light at the end of the tunnel and the motivation to push through hardships—to embark on a new chapter.”
