BMF Co-Founder Terry “Southwest T” Flenory Granted Pardon by Joe Biden

Biden pardons Terry Flenory

US President Joe Biden has officially pardoned Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, co-founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF).

Flenory’s background and health issues

Flenory was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2008 after prosecutors stated that he and his brother Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory generated over $270 million (£215 million) from a nationwide money laundering operation and drug trafficking.

Flenory’s brother pleaded guilty to ongoing criminal activities and has served his sentence, being released to a halfway house in October this year. Terry was placed under house arrest in May 2020 after being granted compassionate release due to health issues and to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in penitentiaries.

Terry has now confirmed that he has received formal notice of clemency in a post on his Instagram page, which also features the removal of his ankle monitor.
