Blusher Makes a Comeback with New Dance Floor Hit “Racer”

Blusher Releases New Single

Blusher has unveiled their latest single “Racer,” marking the start of a new chapter for the Australian pop trio.

Significant Milestones in 2024

This track follows a remarkable 2024 for the group, which included their first full-scale headlining shows in London and Australia, an appearance at BST Hyde Park in support of Kylie Minogue, and tours across the USA, Great Britain, and Europe, opening for Daði Freyr. They also took part in London Pride at Leicester Square and performed alongside notable acts such as Tove Lo and Aurora.

“Racer” was first showcased during their support slot for Sugababes’ Australian tour earlier this year. The song draws inspiration from a night in Los Angeles, as the band explains: “The song was written the next morning after we attended a secret rave in downtown Los Angeles. We danced under the bridge while watching people light fireworks from the highest point. The following day, feeling both drained and inspired, we channeled this euphoric experience into our creation of ‘Racer.’”

“To be a racer means to be the architect of your own journey, the main character in your life story. It’s about being the one to ignite the dance floor while others might be preoccupied with others’ opinions,” they elaborated. “We want ‘Racer’ to be the anthem that people crank up when they’re feeling down or stressed, encouraging them to embrace their wildest and most carefree selves. Ultimately, it reflects our friendship and the way we inspire that racing spirit in each other.”

This single adds to their earlier releases in 2024, including “Someone New,” “Overloaded,” “24 Hours in Paris,” “Accelerator,” and “Rave Angel,” which came after their debut EP “Should We Dance?”
