Album Details
The upcoming album follows his recent singles, including “The Breaking,” “Don’t Cry,” “Take Love Great,” and “Cruel World,” along with a new track titled 'Wading in the Water'. This collection features ten tracks recorded across London, Spain, and Nigeria in 2024.
“This song is a journey to the Southern Alps of my hometown, Aotearoa, New Zealand, faced with a stormy whirlwind that tests the deepest beliefs. It encompasses not only light, but also darkness, embracing love, loss, joy, and grief,” says Jollands about “Wading in the Water.”
Discussing the album, he shares: “This is a double dose of melodies, transporting lyrics and auditory imagery through space and time, landing in the Mojave Desert. I initially aimed to create a five-track EP, but more gems kept coming that I couldn’t ignore.”
“Every album I create has a concept and a sense of direction. The core idea for this album revolves around movement. There’s something fresh introduced at every turn, whether it’s through the chorus, verse, vocals, instruments, a varied rhythm, or an unexpected style,” he adds.
