BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Unveils New Music Set to Drop on Valentine’s Day

BLACKPINK singer Jisoo announced her return to music in February this year with the release of a new teaser.

Teaser Release and Upcoming Album

Today (January 14) at Midnight KST, Jisoo released a cryptic six-second teaser hinting at her return to music. It features a shot of a polygraph before the announcement of the date – February 14th.

Jisoo’s agency Blissoo stated: Korea Joongang Daily that details about the BLACKPINK singer’s upcoming solo release will be revealed in the coming weeks. This will be the K-pop idol’s first music since Blissoo was founded in early 2024 following her departure from longtime agency YG Entertainment.

The K-pop star’s upcoming Valentine’s Day release will be her first since she launched her solo career with the single “Me” two years ago. Released in March 2023, the record featured the title track “Flower” and one B-side, “All Eyes On Me.”

Other Projects and BLACKPINK Updates

Besides her upcoming music, Jisoo will also be starring in Coupang Play and a Prime Video original drama, Newtopia, which will also include 8th Show actor Park Jung-min. The apocalyptic romantic comedy series will mark the singer and actress’s second starring role following the 2021 series, Snowdrop.

In other BLACKPINK news, member Lisa is also set to release her debut studio album ‘Alter Ego’ this February. In 2024, the Thai-born K-pop singer dropped the record with three singles, namely “Rockstar,” “New Woman” featuring Rosalia, and “Moonlit Floor.”
