In a newly released video titled “Goodbye, Hello” on Christmas Day, BLACKPINK's Jennie greeted fans with a glimpse into her 2024 journey and a mini-clip styled as an interview.

In the video, the singer revealed more about her upcoming album. “My album will sound completely different. My next single will sound very different from 'Mantra', I feel like every step will be different,” she expressed.

She also shared her thoughts on the album’s creation, mentioning that she took 11 months to feel it was ready. “I’ve never done this before and people assume this has happened in my life. This is partly true, but I have never done it myself. The girls have always been there for me,” she acknowledged, referencing her BLACKPINK bandmates.

Album Insights and Hopes for the Future

She elaborated on specific elements of the record, keeping song titles and collaborating artists under wraps. Jennie mentioned her favorite track on the album, stating she poured her “soul” into it and hinted at working with at least two of her “dream artists.”

“With my album, I hope the world sees Jenny and her music for who they are. Like, I wouldn’t even be mad if you hated it,” she laughed. “There’s a little bit of everything for everyone. Guys, it's like a buffet for you.”

Concluding her thoughts, Jennie shared her aspirations and expectations for the upcoming year, describing it as a “little seed” in her life. “A new era for me. It was finally time to show what I've been working on and holding onto and just let it out,” she stated.
